50th Wedding Anniversary

These are pictures of sample invitations I made for my boss and his wife.  The first card has a bottom fold with a pocket to hold the RSVP information and a map to the event.  The card base is made of 5 x 12 Close to Cocoa  cardstock with 3/8" Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon.

The front of the card is stamped with versamark and embossed with iridescent embossing powder.

Vacation Time

I'm on vacation this week and loving it! Ok, let's clarify that.  I love not going to work, sleeping in late and doing what I want to do.  So far, though, I've cleaned house, washed clothes, done the dishes and worked in the yard.  I can't say I love cleaning house, but it's gotta be done. Tomorrow though, I plan to go see my mom.  It's been too long and she's a little lonely, so I'm glad I'm going.  I've been so busy cleaning and doing stuff around the house that I haven't even stamped!

Speaking of stamping, have you seen the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog?  I LOVE it!  It has so many new fun stamp sets and I want them all... I'm posting the Holiday Mini on my sideabar, so check it out.

Yippee!! I found it again!

I bet you were all worried that I wouldn't find my blog again. Well, guess what? I found it! He, he! I've had fun setting up my banner and the info on the sidebar. The banner is a picture I took about four years ago for a job interview. Don't you just love all the native plants in that picture?

Ok. Enough chitchat. Are you ready to see a card? This card was made by a friend of mine for her future daughter-in-law's bachelorette party. I just love the real red designer paper (retired) and the black scalloped lace. Notice the beaded necklace and the button-front closure? The bride has a thing for polka dots....Too cute!

I can't wait for you to see the back of the card! Just LOOK at that tattoo! Do you think it's too much? Now the question on everyone's mind is "who made that gorgeous card!" Well, I'll tell you. My friend, LadyLovesLife, over at Splitcoaststampers, that's who! I hope she doesn't MIND that I am featuring her card on my blog! After all, she is the one that didn't think I had anything to blog about...
Now for my next adventure - to figure out how to keep from deleting my pictures every time I try to change things up a bit! And I need to figure out how to put those cute watermarks on my pictures! Got any suggestions? Well, I guess it's time for a little more internet research!

I probably should work on my stamping project for our weekly stamp night, so I better log out and get busy! I think we'll make a purse!
I'll let you know what kind of reaction I get from my friend when she finds out I featured her work on my blog. BTW, until next time, be sure you Stamp it UpRight! Gotta go now!

I Did It!

I finally did it! I just signed up with Stampin' Up! to be a demo. I have been a hobby stamper for about two years and finally took the leap!!! I can't wait to share my designs and ideas with you.

I'm new to blogging, so please let me know if you have any suggestions or would like to see anything special on my blog. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get this all figured out.

My friend over at Splitcoaststampers, LadyLovesLife, looked pretty shocked...no, I would say stunned...when I mentioned I wanted to start a blog! She even asked me what I would have to blog about! Duhhhhh...like we have only been stamping once a week for the last two years! THEN, she asked me if I was planning to show original card designs.

The answer is yes. And probably link to some other really cool sites. Maybe case a card or two, and then just see what happens!

Ok, if this is the last post you see, then it probably means I wasn't able to figure out how to get back to compose another post. Send out the posse - I'm lost.
