Yippee Skippy Another 10 Minute Challenge

You don't REALLY think I finished this week's challenge in 10 minutes, do you?  Nope...24 minutes and 55 seconds.  And "Master Blaster" did a little misbehaving while I was stamping tonight!

This week was a color challenge.  We were to use Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, Sage Shadow and Creamy Caramel, all retiring colors this year.  Who the heck picked these colors anyway??  Must have been one of the "more experienced head honchos"...  Maybe someone from Portland, Oregon, hmmmm? LOL

Well, here's my final card for the challenge.  I didn't like my first attempt so this one is a do over!  hee hee

Card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 Cameo Coral CS folded at the top to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Stamp Sets:  Embrace Life, Asian Artistry
Embossed panel: 4 x 5-1/4 Barely Banana CS
Image panel: 2-1/2 x 2-3/4 Shimmer White CS
Mat: 2-3/4 x 3 Cameo Coral CS
Ink:  Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, Sage Shadow, Creamy Caramel (sponged), Versamark
Other supplies: Beautiful Wings embosslit, Elegant Bouquet impression folder, black embossing powder, blender pen, sponge dauber, small oval punch, scalloped oval punch

Well, I had this vision of what my first card should look like, and it didn't look at all like what I wanted. Yep, you guessed it... it looked like dogfood (sorry Jack, Lucy and Oscar).  But I like this one.  I may even try to step it up a notch (OMG)!  Are you scared yet?

Now about "Master Blaster".  A simple name would not do because we live in "Texas", and everyone knows things are bigger in Texas!  Well, "Master Blaster" was ticking along real smooth-like when nature called, and I needed a "short" break.  I guess he didn't like that, because when I got back to my stamping table (aka kitchen table), I saw that "Master Blaster" had gone on without me.  Well, thank goodness I wrote down the time when I left for my very necessary break! Next time, I'll wrap HIM in some very important paper before I leave. The nerve of him...just like a man!

Thanks for stopping by, and please leave me a comment to let me know you were here.

TTFN!

  1. I love you Mommy! Yes... this is your favorite daughter writing! :) And YES, I did read the entire blog like a good girl. Shocked?

Your cards are really beautiful... and I think I hate you just a little bit for not giving me more of your creativity genes... but I guess I will forgive you because at least I didn't get Daddy's crazy hair... and I guess I have you to thank for that.

Which brings up the question... is "Master Blaster" Daddy??? Am I allowed to ask that??? Because it sounds like a name you would give him for reasons that maybe I'm not allowed to say on this blog! :D :P Use your imaginations, people. LOL! Sorry to "Master Blaster" if it's not... and sorry to the bestest mommy for spamming your blog, but I thought you'd like to know that I can, in fact, read! :)
